A chest organ - compact and flexible
As you can see, this chest organ is a concipated box, compact in
border and filling. Border and filling are made of solid oak.
The basic sizes, broadness, depth and height are 1000 mm, 505 mm
1020 mm. You can shut the box entirely so that nobody can act in
the inner parts. To play you have to open the doors widely (see
picture). When the head of the box is open it serves as a music
stand. For transportation the upper part of the box with windchest
and keyboard (inserted to the box) and the console as well as most
of the pipework will be separated from the box. In this lower par
(cH and c) The bellow machine is placed at the side of the bellow
in a separate sound proofed motor box. A little height adjustable
puffy, made of solid oak as well, is delivered with the organ.
Disposition of the chest organ
Gedackt 8‘cH-h top and bottom made of oak, sides made of
spruce, c‘-f‘,‘ completely made of pear, the tops
are fasted with a drop of wax (after voicing). Chimney flute
4‘ cH-H wooden, bottom and top of oak, sides made of spruce,
the tops are bored through, c-g‘, metal chimney flute,
gs‘,-f‘,‘ chamois horn 12,5 % tin, embossed tops
which are brazed, pressed
All metal flutes get a banner brazed at the bottom to avoid
twisting in the pipe attachment and therefore could cause a
de-intonation during transportation. The register is placed in the
bass near the music stand. The keyboard has a key amplitude from C
to F‘,‘ the register is made of solid oka. The surface
of the short keys is made of paduk and bone. The long keys are made
of spruce with grenadie. As mentioned above, the register can be
inserted in the box.
An appliance for transponing widens the intonation of the organ.
This appliance allows to switch the „a“ from 440 Hz to
415,3 Hz o to 466,16 Hz. Therefore the „c“ is either
contra h or Gs.
