Organ for the Polish cathedral in Taschkent/Usbekistan
The new Polish church in Taschkent has been consecrated October
22, 2000. By archbishop Marian Oles, apostolic nuncio in Kasakstan
und Central Asia.
Nearly 100 years ago the small catholic parish of Taschkent began
to built a church. They were stopped by the revolution in October
1917. The Soviet placed a roof on top of the external walls and
used the church as a depot. It was not until the beginning of the
90ies that the parish got the church back. Because of donations
from all over the world they could finish the building.
They asked us to built a representative organ, with fine tonation,
but economic in price.
Please take a look at our concept
- we bought a “second-hand” organ in St. Paulus
Bonn-Beuel
- A carpenter in Taschkent built a new body according to our
plans.
- A new technical equipment (windchest, wind equipment, electrical
control) had been built
- New prospect flutes and 4 new color reeds were necessary
- 21 register could be adopted from St. Paulus Bonn-Beuel
